I received an MS in Computer Science from University of Wisconsin. Joining Microsoft, I helped build the world’s fastest web servers in the 90s. I also led efforts in web search, micropayments (Microsoft Points for Xbox Live), e-commerce, and App Stores for Windows Phone / Windows. Later I was the VP of the Starbucks Digital Platform. We built out the new payment terminals, UberEats integration, mobile order and pay, etc., to enable billions of $$ business at Starbucks. (prototyping with cardboards anyone?). Improving our systems provided insights for a better training system which led me to RapL.
